Oregon Humane Society — a non-profit organization rich with history. Few realize that the Oregon Humane Society, founded in 1868, is the third oldest humane society in the country and the oldest in the west. We owe our success to the hundreds of volunteers who have contributed time, money, and services to an organization that shapes the well-being of animals throughout the state. OHS is a leader in animal welfare issues, championing the cause of animals through legislation, education, and leadership.
