ABOUT THE JOB:
Essential Responsibilities:
The Project Engineer works with Project Managers, customers, field personnel and office staff in a collaborative manner. The Project Engineer takes direction from the Project Manager to ensure staff efforts are coordinated and directed toward department and company goals. Some travel will be required.

The Project Engineer performs the following:

Manage jobsite documents
-
Prepare equipment requisitions with the Purchasing Department
-
Research, prepare and present proposals
-
Prepare cost control and expense reports
-
Schedule and track job progress
-
Review design drawings, estimates and write change orders
-
Write subcontracts, purchase orders, correspondence field questions, and job write-ups
-
Assist with preparation of submittals, operations and maintenance manuals, air balance logs and as-builts
-
Develop positive rapport with customers and suppliers
-
Work with designated Alliant personnel to obtain training
-
Provide timely and constructive communication with staff and customers regarding project status and concerns throughout all phases
-
Complete job close-out procedures
-
Monitor and open front desk at local office as needed
-
Off-load LTL trucks with forklift
-
Receive, organize, and inform personnel of deliveries to the office
-
Deliver material, parts, and equipment to job sites, if needed
-
Perform additional tasks as assigned
Requirements:
-
A Bachelor of Science degree in construction management or similar work experience
-
Ability to work independently or in a team atmosphere
-
Ability to adapt to flexible responsibilities
-
Proficient in using Microsoft Office Products and REVU Bluebeam
-
Ability to effectively interact with customers, technicians, sales, office and field personnel
-
Possess strong verbal, written, analytical, persuasion and interpersonal skills
-
Technical experience specifically including detailed submittal/installation drawing review, dimension checking and material compliance; prior experience with mechanical and plumbing systems desired
-
A basic understanding of accounting principles is a plus

Possess qualities of an innovative thinker

Ability to consistently set goals and meet deadlines

Self-motivated

History of good employment attendance

Demonstrate a sincere desire to serve our customers

Must have reliable transportation to and from work & jobsites and a valid and clean driving record

Ability to learn and be certified to operate forklift
