The Salem Heath West Valley Hospital, situated in Dallas, Oregon, is one of the few hospitals available to serve individuals from the Oregon coastline and mid-valley, and thus has been federally designated a critical access hospital. Alliant Systems is currently executing a complete replacement of the existing pharmacy HVAC system, which is a specialty system for pharmacy use and is located within the existing operating hospital. Items installed include compounding hoods and exhaust, custom air handler, connections to all existing systems within the hospital, including steam, chilled water, heating water, new DDC controls Alliant Systems has also performed a variety of previous projects at West Valley Hospital include the re-design and replacement of the existing chilled water and steam boiler plants, as well as a complete new operatory suite adjacent the existing. For each of these engagements, the staff and administration at West Valley Hospital experienced zero impacts to their responsibilities and no down-time to their systems.
