Alliant Systems performed HVAC and plumbing installation within a five-story, 103,000 square foot academic research center. HVAC systems consist of chilled beams, radiant panels, and variable air volume terminal units. Heat recovery modules are utilized for exhaust steam energy recovery. Plumbing systems include medical grade gases to lab areas, solar hot water heating, and RO recovery water serving restroom fixtures. The building holds a variety of laboratory spaces, including chem labs, vivariums and research labs. The building was awarded LEED Platinum Certification and is 2030 compliant.
