Bend Downtown Library Renovation

Alliant Systems is honored to play a key role in the renovation of the Downtown Bend Library, a beloved community landmark originally opened in 1998. Working alongside Kirby Nagelhout Construction, Alliant is providing a full replacement of all mechanical, plumbing, and snow melt systems, ensuring the renewed library performs as beautifully as it looks.

From conceptual estimating to on-site investigations, Alliant’s team took a deep dive into the project to fully understand the existing systems and deliver a seamless modernization effort. When complete, the reimagined library will feature expanded public spaces, enhanced comfort, and new community amenities including:
• A multi-purpose community room for programs and gatherings
• Dedicated youth and teen areas
• A children’s discovery space designed for interactive play and learning
• Study rooms, co-working areas, and technology-rich open seating

This renovation marks a new chapter for a facility that has long been at the heart of Bend’s civic life—helping it serve a growing population while offering an inspiring, sustainable space for the future.
