Cascada Bend
Bend, Oregon
Currently under construction in downtown Bend, Cascada Bend is a 130,000 SF thermal springs and boutique hotel developed by SolTerra and designed by Hacker Architects. Scheduled to open in 2028, the 68-room destination will bring Cascada’s signature approach to thermal bathing, wellness, and rest to Central Oregon. Inspired by the region’s volcanic high-desert landscape, the project combines biophilic architecture with a carefully choreographed progression of indoor and outdoor experiences, including thermal pools and saunas, a glass-roofed conservatory, spa treatment spaces, a sculptural lobby and restaurant, and rooftop pools with sweeping views of the Cascade Range.
Alliant Systems is serving as the design assist mechanical contractor, collaborating with the project team to develop and coordinate mechanical systems that support the property’s diverse hospitality, spa, and thermal-water environments. The project presents a unique range of mechanical requirements, from guest rooms and public spaces to highly conditioned spa areas, thermal pools, saunas, and the rooftop conservatory. Alliant’s early involvement provides constructability insight and field-driven expertise throughout design and construction, helping integrate the mechanical systems within the project’s distinctive architecture while supporting comfort and efficiency.
