Gresham High School
Gresham, Oregon
This $89 million, 169,000 SF modernization started as a bond proposal by Gresham-Barlow School District, after the district noticed that all of its schools were in desperate need of repair, especially the high school. Renovated spaces included classrooms, technical education center, and visual arts wing. The new addition included 54 classrooms, gym, a 550 seat auditorium, and media center. The two and a half year project was completed while students attended class within temporary classrooms on campus. Safety was of utmost importance due to the urban nature of the site and the proximity of students to construction.
Alliant's scope involved the completion of HVAC and plumbing systems for new addition and renovated areas of GHS. New HVAC systems consisted of custom rooftop mounted air handling DX cooling VAV equipment coupled with completed VAV sheetmetal ductwork air distribution systems. A new heating hot water plant was constructed to provide distributed hot water systems to all new air handing equipment and VAV terminal units.
