Hillsboro Hops New Baseball Stadium
Hillsboro, Oregon
The new 229,000 SF Hillsboro Hops Stadium marks a major milestone for the beloved baseball franchise and the city of Hillsboro. With seating for 6,000 fans for games and up to 7,000 for concerts, this new home for the Hops meets Major League Baseball’s facility standards following the team’s promotion to High-A status.
Alliant Systems’ engineering department played an instrumental role in the design process, and the company is responsible for the full plumbing, mechanical, and controls scope, including BIM coordination. The project has demanded incredible teamwork across disciplines—plumbing, sheet metal, fitting, commissioning, and controls—all working in harmony under an aggressive schedule.
Highlights include:
• 23,000 plumbing hours, 10,000 sheet metal hours, and 5,000 fitting hours
• Peak manpower of over 50 Alliant employees on site
• Installation of 700+ plumbing fixtures
• A unique commissioning requirement: the “Super Flush”—flushing all 137 toilets and urinals simultaneously to test water flow and pressure
From engineering design to final commissioning, this project exemplifies Alliant’s capacity to deliver large-scale, technically complex projects that blend precision with performance.
