Alliant Systems provided HVAC and plumbing installation in the new OSU Gladys Valley Marine Studies Building. The 74,000 square foot classroom and laboratory building is located on the Hatfield Marine Science Center campus in Newport, OR. In addition to housing the Marine Studies program, the building serves as the headquarters for the Marine Mammal Institute and the Marine Genetics and Genomics programs. The new HVAC system included TUs, VRFs, pumps, boilers, and AHUs. Systems to accommodate the client’s specific lab requirements included natural gas and grease interceptor.
