As Mechanical and Plumbing Engineer of Record, Alliant is excited to share scenes of active use at the new Oregon State University Gymnastics Practice Facility in Corvallis Oregon. Opened in April 2021, the 20,000 square foot facility is the largest in the PAC-12. HVAC is provided by a series of high-efficiency packaged rooftop systems coupled with distributed “chalk-eater” units which function to control chalk dust and improve indoor air quality. In addition to serving extensive locker and shower facilities, plumbing scope included a network of drains and pumps to ensure water stays out of numerous recessed floor pits which hold matts and foam blocks to provide soft landings for athletes developing new skills.
