Salem Civic Center Improvement Project
Salem, Oregon
As part of the 2022 voter-approved Safety and Livability Bond, the Salem Civic Center is undergoing a transformative modernization to improve seismic safety, accessibility, and sustainability for future generations. Alliant Systems, partnering with Arris Consulting, is delivering the design-build mechanical scope, which includes:
• New low-pressure duct systems with VAV units and hot water reheat piping
• Roof fans for pressure equalization
• Updated building controls and plumbing upgrades
• Fire sprinklers, domestic water piping, and restroom improvements
The project also features exterior and seismic upgrades, new roofing and skylights, and a full interior “refresh.” Working alongside a talented design-build team—including Howard S. Wright Construction, Hacker Architects, CBTwo Architects, and KPFF Engineers—Alliant is helping to create a resilient, sustainable, and inviting 21st-century workspace for the City of Salem.
