Alliant Systems provided design and construction services for a three-phase 116,000 square foot expansion and renovation of the existing Newport Hospital campus. The new facility is three stories, 80,000 square feet, and houses all 'I' occupancy functions of the campus. The existing facility, which was converted into a medical office building, holds 36,000 square feet of exam spaces, doctor's offices, and support service areas for the new hospital building. Construction on campus also included a new central utility plant to provide chilled and hot water to the new and existing facilities and a new medical gas and reporting system, which included a bulk Oxygen plant.
