ABOUT THE JOB:
Essential Responsibilities:
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for driving project success by managing scope, schedule, cost, and risk while coordinating internal resources and external partners to achieve high-quality outcomes. Some travel may occasionally be required.
​
The Senior Project Manager performs the following:

Lead project teams and engineering activities from design to construction phase to completion
-
Know-how for technical solutions, preliminary project assessment, identifying required resources
-
Resolve subcontractor and vendor billing issues
-
Respond to RFP’s
-
Ensure safety compliance for all jobsite personnel
-
At times this position may supervise a project engineer and/or project manager
-
Provide accurate and timely job billings
-
Review and approve subcontractor billings
-
Research, prepare and present proposals
-
Prepare change orders
-
Business development
-
Monitor, control, and report financial performance of projects
-
Assess job cost impacts
-
Review contracts, subcontracts, ability to negotiate when needed
-
Responsible for development and implementation of construction plan
-
Monitor progress towards goals and anticipate potential problems
-
Lead project meetings
-
Demonstrate principles of Alliant safety program to ensure project safety is managed effectively,
-
proactively and consistently.

Mentor Project Engineers
-
Perform additional tasks as assigned
Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent work experience required
-
8 years prior experience in construction project management
-
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam
-
Basic estimating skills required
-
Demonstrates an understanding of accounting and financial management
-
Demonstrate a proven track record of successful projects and satisfied customer references
-
Possess excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills
-
A valid license and clean driving record are required

Must be willing to work extended hour days when business needs demand.
